Quotas

Each year, the BCIS (formerly INS) offers a fixed number of immigrant or non-immigrant visas for certain types of visa categories. These numbers are called "quotas". Quotas are subject to change from year to year, and not all visa categories have quotas. Check the quota chart for details on each type of visa.
